Sierra Huber

Enjoying all sports and being active in mountain biking, competitive swimming and softball, she moved to Virginia after college and discovered triathlon in her new town of residence.  Using her skills as a swimmer, mountain biker and softball player, Sierra found her love of endurance sports and has been competing for many years.  She has competed in all races distances, has multiple podium finishes and has been top ten the in Virginia/Maryland Tri series.

She holds a degree in music education from West Virginia University and has been teaching and coaching for over a decade!  Sierra is a certified USAT Level 1, ASCA Level 1, Precision Nutrition and Concurrent Hybrid Performance coach and former coach with Complete Human Performance and UCANDOIT Coaching groups. She also continues to train extensively as both a coach and an athlete.

She has coached all skill levels, Age Group to Elite triathletes, in addition to beginner athletes and military personnel looking to pass rigorous tests.

Swim Training

Sierra has been a competitive swimmer since the early 90's.  She has worked as an assistant coach for a varsity swim team along with working as a developmental coach for beginner swimmers for a year round swim team.

Sierra has worked with Age Group to Elite triathletes, in addition to beginner athletes and military personnel looking to pass rigorous tests. Her personal experience and proficiency as a dedicated swimmer has allowed her to help other athletes conquer one of the most dreaded parts of military and triathlon training.

In January 2018, Sierra had the privilege to work side by side with Olympian, Sheila Taormina  to earn her Swim Speed Secrets certification along with becoming the only coach in Virginia to be licensed in STGRID underwater analysis.  In March of 2019, Taormina and Sierra held a clinic together in King George, VA!!

Triathlon/Strength Training

As mentioned above, Sierra grew up very much in all things sports!  In 2011, she found her love of endurance sports and began competing in triathlon.  She learned quickly that the sport of triathlon, even though very much a single athlete sport, was all about community.  This community and being around other athletes and coaches who shared this enthusiasm was the reason she went on to get her coaching certifications.  Each and every coach has a story, and if you listen carefully, you can learn so much more than just how to swim, bike and run!  Triathlon is not ALL about reaching your season goals (of course, that's always an added perk!) - it is also about embracing the journey that makes the sport so sweet.

Sierra has worked with Age Group to Elite triathletes who have earned spots in USAT Nationals and Ironman World Championship events!  She has competed in all race distances and proudly calls herself an IRON(wo)MAN!

Nutrition

A few years ago, Sierra started on her own nutritional journey feeling that with all the time she spent training, she did not look or feel the part!  After trying many "diets" and having short lived successes, she hired a nutrition coach!  Through this coaching she learned to enjoy all types of foods, remove emotional attachments from foods, and learned to fuel her body for unlimited energy - all while shedding access body fat!

The journey of her nutritional experiences was so profound that she earned her Precision Nutrition certification with the goal of sharing with others what she herself had learned!
